The Chairman Restaurant Hong Kong
I'd like to give Danny Yip of The Chairman a high five for turning a sour situation into an outstanding evening. Reservations were made to dine at his restaurant weeks ago but one day prior, my family receives a call saying the owner was having a private party and all reservations have been cancelled. What the hell? Danny called the next day to explain what had happened and asked that we give him a chance to make things right. Turns out they were overbooked and someone took it upon themselves to blame the boss. I'm glad we gave him a chance and am happy to say the food was spectacular and the service we received was outstanding.
Lane Crawford IFC Mall Hong Kong
Went into Lane Crawford a few days ago to have a look around and not to my surprise the staff were quite busy chatting among themselves and fixing their hair to really give a crap to sell anything. Oh well life goes on. Good thing I weren't looking for anything in particular as I didn't want to be rude and cut short anyones conversation.
There's service that doesn't suck but then there's plenty that does.
Welcome to my blog, I'm using it as a platform to rant and praise about customer service from all sorts of industries. My aim is that businesses will better train staff who aren't performing to an acceptable standard while also acknowledging one's who go above and beyond what's asked of them.
